Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him.

Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.
Now that we have cleared the doubt about using different formulas for sending Salawat upon our Master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family
formulas for sending Salawat upon our Master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family
and affirmed its legitimacy, let us explore some of these formulas and their meanings.
And we begin with the mountain of knowledge in Morocco,
and how the spiritually awakened scholar, Sidi Abd l-Salam al-Mashish, established it.
in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O Allah, send blessings upon the one from whom secrets were unfolded,
and lights emanated, and through him, realities ascended.
Through him, the knowledge of Adam, peace be upon him, descended, which overwhelmed creation.
To him, understanding diminished, so no predecessor or successor could comprehend him.
The righteous people say that the door to realizing the virtues of our Master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family,
is open to anyone, and not restricted to anyone.
However, one needs certain means to open that door, including sending Salawat upon him—peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
Dalil Al-Khayrāt (The Guide to Goodness) Episode 5
Clarifying Misconception about salawat on the Prophet
There are formulas for sending Salawat upon the Prophet where the emphasis is on quantity.
And there are qualitative formulas that are recited only once.
And there are medium formulas that, while fewer in number, emphasize profound meanings.
And there are other formulas in which all meanings are encompassed.
Here we mention for example the formulas of the righteous people, like the prayer of Sidi ibn Mashish and the prayer of Sidi Al-Badawi,
Sidi Ibrahim Al-Desouqi, Muhyiddin ibn Arabi, the prayer of Sidi Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani,
and the prayers of the Dardiriyah, like Sidi Ahmed Al-Dardir. All these are means that connect you to the beloved Prophet(PBUH)
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master and our Leader Muhammad, the Master of the first and the last.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master and Leader, Muhammad, at every moment and in all times.
The Prophet,(PBUH) mentioned two things regarding sending Salawat upon him: he said 'do it well' and 'do it frequently.
Some people focus only on frequency, but we emphasize both quality and quantity.
To do it frequently means that one sends Salawat upon our Master the Prophet(PBUH) according to a specific number of times.
This specific number can be like the teeth of a key that unlocks a door, potentially having a profound internal impact on you.
So, what does "do it well" mean? It means diversifying the formulas.
O Allah, he is Your all-encompassing secret that guides to You.
And Your greatest veil, standing between Your hands.
O Allah, unite me with his lineage and perfect me through his attributes.
And grant me knowledge of him, so that I am saved from the paths of ignorance.
And through it, allow me to drink from the fountains of grace and guide me along his path to Your presence.
This is what derived scholars throughout the ages, beginning with the Companions, to innovate, create,
develop, and excel in formulating unique invocations, each specific to them.
This was out of love and devotion to our Master, the Messenger of Allah, so that their unique formula is presented in his name.
It is said to him: "So-and-so, the son of so-and-so, sent blessings upon you in a way that no one else ever has.
That is why you find Imam Al-Jazuli diversified his method of sending blessings, and sometimes he repeated it.
For example, he might say 'by the number of stars, the grains of sand, and the mountains, and then after two or three pages, you find the same words repeated.
So, I often thought: what is the reason for this? Wouldn't one formula be sufficient?
Why did the scholars and righteous people excel and innovate in creating so many formulas?
I found that nothing motivates this except love.
You love our Master, the Prophet,(PBUH)so you excel in crafting blessings and prayers for his noble presence.
May Allah's blessings be upon the best of those with a pure lineage,
whose honor ascended, and whose shining forehead illuminated the moons.
And in whose generosity, the clouds and the seas became humbled—our Master Muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the ascetic Prophet, the Messenger of the Sovereign, the Eternal, the One.
May Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, with a continuous blessing that lasts until the end of time,
without interruption or depletion—a blessing that saves us from the heat of Hell, what an evil abode it is.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his family, and grant him peace.
The Dalā’il Al-Khayrāt by Al-Jazūlī is just the beginning among such works, a fruit of this noble effort.
He found the Qarawiyyin Library in Fez overflowing with these Salawat.
So, he began summarizing and collecting from them, eventually composing this remarkable, unique, and extraordinary book.
A book like none we have ever seen before, and one we will never see its equal, for such uniqueness is granted by Allah to whomever He wills.
It is a marvel, for Allah, the Exalted, never repeats anything in creation.
Of course, speaking about him, peace be upon him, is endless.
It never ends, for each person is granted from the Muhammadan grace according to their connection to him.
The Dalā’il Al-Khayrāt only serves to show how close a person is to the Prophet, peace be upon him.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad—blessings linked to every form of prayer You have taught to any of Your creation, through which they prayed upon him.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad—blessings connected to every form of prayer he himself recited upon his noble self.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad—blessings connected to the prayer You Yourself sent upon him,
and upon his family and companions, and grant them peace.
"O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the Opener of what was concealed,
and the Seal of what came before, the Supporter of Truth with Truth,
and the Guide to the Straight Path, in accordance with his immense worth and lofty status. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.
شيخنا، الشيخ محمد بن الحبيب
لديه دعاء، يسميه كنز الحقائق. وهذا
الصلاة أُعطِيَت له
من النبي، صلى الله عليه وسلم. نص الصلاة هو:
O Allah, send blessings and peace through the various perfections of Your manifestations,
upon our Master and Protector Muhammad, the first light emanating from the Ocean of the Majesty of the Divine Essence,
who is realized in the hidden and visible realms with the meanings of the Divine Names and Attributes.
He is the first to praise and worship You through all forms of worship and acts of devotion,
and the one who provides sustenance to all beings in the realms of spirits and bodies.
And upon his family and companions, a prayer that unveils the veil from his noble countenance in visions and wakefulness,
and makes You and him known to us in all stations and divine presences.
Be gentle with us, O our Master, for his sake, in our movements, stillness, moments, and fleeting thoughts.
Our Lord has honored me with Salawat that I have named 'The Easeful Prayers' (Al-Salawat Al-Yusriyah).
I wrote them down because I spent twenty years with no occupation other than reciting the prayers of the righteous saints.
Thereupon, they were imprinted upon my heart, as I was also raised on Dalā'il Al-Khayrāt.
Thus emerged the (Al-Salawat Al-Yustiyah), which include the Barzakh Prayer, the Manifestation Prayer, and the First and Last Prayer.
These three Salawat encompass everything.
Then it occurred to me to compose prayers for the Prophet using Allah's Most Beautiful Names.
This is to highlight the perfections of the Prophet in each name, illustrating how he embodies the Messenger of each of Allah's Most Beautiful Names.
So I decided to compile this in Ramadan.
I began writing Allah's Most Beautiful Names, starting with (He) or (Howa, Hu)/
Referring to identity (Howiyyah)
The first name is the identity (Howa) that people often overlook; therefore, Allah, the One who there is no god but He, is not the first Name among Allah’s Most Beautiful Names.
This is because it transcends There is no god but He — the identity and the name of the identity
After that, comes the Name of Allah, then the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the King, the Most Sacred—each name is a prayer,
to show that the Prophet is the Messenger of each name.
O Allah, O Ever-Living, the One there is no god but He, we call upon You, devoting our worship to You, though the disbelievers may dislike it."
Send blessings and peace upon our Master Muhammad, the servant of the Ever-Living, and upon his family,
who entrusted himself to the Ever-Living who never dies, through whom You gave life to the worlds, spirits, and hearts.
He was to the worlds like health is to bodies. I seek life for my soul through him,
through knowledge and understanding.
And with this, You revive me with a good life and a peaceful existence, O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, O Allah.
And may You grant us from our Prophet, through the blessing of this Name, life for every land we descend upon and for every person who seeks refuge with us.
Even when the scholars diversified in the formulas, they began naming them.
And they wrote explanations about them.
This is the preeminent prayer, this is the luminous prayer.
This is the crown prayer, this is the prayer of relief, and this is the prayer of healing.
And this is part of grace, and still, all these prayers are nothing compared to the prayers that will emerge at the end of time."
The cycle of recognition of our Master and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be completed in the world.
And prayers that were not known before will emerge, and the world will be prepared for the second Islamic global era.
For the completion of this light and the perfection of this light.
And the perfection of this light is that the prayers will increase upon the appearance of joy and the source of goodness, upon the Prophet(PBUH) and his family and companions.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, who is the axis of majesty,
and the sun of prophecy and message,
and the guide from misguidance, and the savior from ignorance. May Allah send blessings and peace upon him.
A prayer of continuous connection, recurring and successive, throughout the days and nights.
We noticed during our journey that everyone we met adhered to the term 'Master' “Sayyedna”.
along with mentioning the name of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, with reverence, respect, and glorification.
along with mentioning the name of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, with reverence, respect, and glorification.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad and upon the family of our Master Muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the opener of what was concealed.
And the seal of what preceded, the supporter of the truth with the truth, the guide to the straight path, and upon his family.
According to his true worth and great measure.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad
However, is it permissible to say "our Master" in the prayer upon the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family)?
Some people object to using the term 'Master' for him, peace be upon him.
This is a misunderstanding, as Imam al-Shafi’i (may Allah be pleased with him) said:"
Many people criticize a correct statement, yet its flaw lies in their faulty understanding.
It is found in Sahih al-Bukhari that our Master, the Prophet(PBUH) said: "I am the master of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgment."
This is affirmed in the most authentic books after the Book of Allah, and there is consensus among the scholars.
The word 'people' refers to the scholars, and this cannot be disputed.
It is an indisputable matter. The term 'master' is clearly understood.
Whom people seek and turn to because of the perfection of his qualities and attributes.
Should we say 'Our Master' or not? Well, the Prophet, peace be upon him, acknowledged it.
He said to the people of Ansar, 'Rise to your master.'
We find that when Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was sending Salawat upon the Prophet(PBUH)
he would say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon the master of existence.'
So, he used the term 'Master' for our Prophet, peace be upon him and his family.
In the Hadith of Bilal, they said, 'Our master freed our master' when Abu Bakr, our master, freed Bilal.
All of these things have entered into the realm of established transmission.
This is not an invention of evil thoughts,
which do not love the master of creation, and they seek to usurp his right.
"Because the title of master was given to one who is of a lower rank than the Prophet, peace be upon him.
In the Quran, as with the Prophet Yahya, 'A master, chaste, and a prophet of the righteous.'
So, mastery was granted to Yahya, and mastery was granted to the Aziz of Egypt.
'And he found his master at the door.'
And He granted sovereignty to the grandsons of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, Hassan and Hussein, the leaders of the youth of Paradise.
Therefore, the author of the poem the “Cloak” (Al-Burdah) said:
Muhammad is the Master of the two universes and the two weights, and the two groups, from Arabs and from non-Arabs.
He said: And you may attribute any honor to his essence, and attribute any greatness to his status,
for the virtue of the Messenger of Allah has no limit, and no speaker can express it with words.
Do not make the prayer upon the Messenger between you like the prayer one makes for another, lest your deeds be nullified.
Our Lord told us this, do not make his remembrance like one’s remembrance of another.
It is not permissible, and the Prophet even said, the prayer upon the Prophet, meaning his call,
Do not make it like the way you address each other, but make it in a form of magnification.
It is not permissible to speak to him as we speak to one another.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, a prayer that honors his resting place,
and elevates his afterlife, and grants him his desire and satisfaction on the Day of Judgment.
This prayer is a glorification of Your right, O our master Muhammad.
Some justify not using the title “Master”.
They justify this by following what the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said about himself.
He did not say, 'Say, O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad.'
Instead, he said, 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad.'
When a person said to the Prophet, peace be upon him, 'You are our Master,' he replied, 'The Master is Allah.'
They understood from this that we should not use the title of 'Master' for the Prophet, peace be upon him.m
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said this out of being humble.
And the Ummah responds to our Master, the Messenger of Allah, out of reverence.
This is because it is Allah who said:
"Indeed, We have sent you as a witness, a bringer of good tidings, and a warner, so that you may believe in Allah and His Messenger, honor him, support him, and glorify Him morning and evening.’" [Quran 48:9]
Our Master Al-Shafi'i said, when asked how we should phrase our prayers: "Should we say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad'?"
Or should we say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad'?
He said, 'Whoever says, "O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad," has shown proper respect for our master, the Messenger of Allah.'
It is part of the general etiquette we know and agree upon.
That if you see a great scholar or elder, you do not address him by his name.
But when he speaks about himself, he says, 'the poor servant of Allah.'
There is a difference between the position where you acknowledge yourself, saying, 'I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger,'
and the position where you elevate him, peace be upon him, to his true rank.
Because it is he who taught you to give people their rightful status.
Even for those who say the Messenger, peace be upon him, did not say 'master'.
If someone were asked in front of another person, 'Who is this?' and he says, 'This is my father, so-and-so.”
"Why does he say 'my father, so-and-so'?"
Because he cannot describe his father without acknowledging the fatherhood.
So can we describe the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, without acknowledging his mastership?
You say, 'But the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, did not say, "O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad."
"Do you know the meaning of 'O Allah, send blessings'?"
It means the Prophet is saying to Allah, 'O my Lord, send blessings.' Is this a lack of respect?"
"Even a minister wouldn't say to the president, 'I am the minister.'
Because he is speaking about someone above him.
The Prophet says, 'O Allah, send blessings upon the one who is Your servant, I am Muhammad.'
But some people below him say, 'We cannot say the word Muhammad.'
He cannot be called Muhammad without the title of mastership.
Just like in the call to prayer at the Mosque of Ashraf, we say, 'I bear witness that our Master Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'"
"Although the original adhan (call to prayer) does not include 'our master.'
Because this is a guiding practice, countering the innovation of those who forbid the depiction of the Prophet.
Someone might come and say, 'But there is a hadith...'
'Do not give me the title of Master in prayer.' This is a fabricated hadith, not weak, but fabricated.
Because it contradicts linguistic rules.
“Do not blacken me in prayer, do not blacken me from the act of blackening…”
As for the other meaning of being titled as a Master, if he wanted to say it, he would have said, 'Do not make me a Master in prayer.
And the Prophet, peace be upon him, was eloquent, the most eloquent of all speakers.
Regardless, this is incorrect linguistically,
it has a problem with its chain of transmission, it doesn't exist.
So where is the chain of transmission that says, 'Do not make me a master' or 'Do not blacken me'?
This does not exist in reality.
Using the term 'mastership' reflects a degree of respect for our master Muhammad, peace be upon him.
"However, some may fear that excessive respect might lead to the suspicion of polytheism, for example.
People who deny this usually have a misunderstanding in their minds, thinking that we might elevate him to the level of a deity.
Believers do not doubt that he is not a deity; they assert that he is not a deity.
So we are at ease. When we say that he is compassionate and merciful, we know that he is not the compassionate and merciful One, which is Allah.
We have no doubt; things are clear to us.
If we described the Prophet as Merciful or Lenient, this has nothing to do with such attributes of Allah,
We are confident in this and find no doubt in this conviction.
And the Prophet is mighty and majestic, which suits perfect servitude.
However, the community, to respect the hierarchy in the terms, says we say 'Allah, the Almighty,'
and we say 'the Prophet, peace be upon him,' and that's it.
But still, the Prophet is, in essence, mighty and majestic.
We just say 'the Prophet, peace be upon him,' and that's it.
However, the Prophet, peace be upon him, is still mighty and majestic.
The scholars mention two things: the connection to the text.
'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad' is referred to as the connection to the text."
And the second thing is showing respect in the presence of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
Respect does not allow me to address the Prophet, peace be upon him, without using the term of sovereignty.
'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad' means that I don't feel I have truly prayed for the Prophet unless I say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon our master.'
And I know I could say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon my master,' but even 'my master' feels like it diminishes the status of our master.
'Our master' feels like I am not praying alone.
I fear because the station is great.
It must be shared, either by the angels or by the pure souls.
They should join me in sending blessings upon him because praying for the Prophet, peace be upon him, is not something trivial.
And you consider it trivial, but it is great in the sight of Allah.
And no one experiences this except those who have truly felt it.
Insha'Allah... May Allah grant us the taste of sending blessings upon our Master, the Messenger of Allah, Peace and blessings be upon.
O Allah, send blessings upon the victorious, the supported.
O Allah, send blessings upon the chosen, the glorified.
O Allah, send blessings upon our Master and our Lord Muhammad.
Therefore, it is necessary to honor and respect the Prophet Peace and blessings be upon and raise his status.
And do everything that brings us closer to him, including following his example.
By practicing his Sunnah and following the path he has shown us.
Then, increase sending Salawat upon him.
The Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him said: 'Increase sending blessings upon me.'
Pure blessings upon my beloved, my master Muhammad.
He ;peace be upon him and his family
Our master who deserves the title of 'master’.
Because Allah, the Exalted, has honored him and raised his status.
And He has bestowed His blessings upon us through him, peace be upon him.
When you recognize the blessing of Allah upon you through our master Muhammad (peace be upon him),
Your love for Allah increases, as Imam Al-Shafi'i (may Allah be pleased with him) says,"
In his book Al-Risalah, at the beginning of his message, he says: 'No blessing has come to us, whether apparent or hidden,
That has granted us success in religion, this world, or both, except that it is due to our master Muhammad (PBUH) the guide to its goodness.
The one who saves us from destruction and evil sources.
Through this knowledge, this love and reverence are born.
When you learn the reverence that Allah, the Exalted, has for His Messenger (peace be upon him).
O Allah, send blessings, peace, and mercy upon our Master Muhammad and upon the family of our Master Muhammad, whose rank is exalted.
It is obligatory to honor and respect him.
A prayer that never ends, never fades, and never counts in numbers.
When we feel the blessings we have through his existence, peace be upon him and his family.
We can say with content and love in our hearts,
Our master Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
The blessing of Allah, the Exalted, manifests upon us through His Messenger, peace be upon him and his family.
Through what Allah has specially chosen for him, making him the mediator between Him and His servants, both in this world and the Hereafter.
This is what we will learn about in the next episode, Insha'Allah.
We invoked Salawat on the Prophet (peace be upon him) more than 81 times in this episode.
